Boer Power (1685 HK) makes digital equipment for electric power distribution (iEDS), and manages power distribution for electric networks and corporate customers. In addition, it makes and markets smart-home appliances. 

It has a strong R&D team based in Wuxi and Shanghai. However, that is not enough. It is now looking for a team leader (and out-of-the-box thinker) to drive its efforts into some new areas. This leader will hire his or her own researchers from anywhere to be based anywhere. These researchers can be full-time or part-time. 

Established three decades ago, Boer Power has been listed in the stock exchange of Hong Kong since late 2010. It is in net cash and has a market value of US$1.7 billion. Its sales and net profit has been growing at double-digit rates for almost two decade (CAGR). It has 28 offices in China, Spain, Africa and Latin America.
