中国人留学的目的是洗白名誉？

今天的英国经济学家杂志载文，谈留学。中国人为什么特别热衷留学？中国人的一位教育顾问Jiang Xueqin 这样对记者说：”中国人想真正富有，只能靠贪腐。把小孩送出国留学的目的是为了洗刷自己的名誉，证明自己就是比别人聪明，而钱是靠聪明才智赚来的”。原文如下。作者发明了一个新词：reputation-laundering.

It's all about new money. Everybody here knows that you can only get rich by stealing money. You're legitimising your wealth by proving how clever your family is. The degrees from Oxford or Yale – they're reputation-laundering.
