“Kill China’s monster regime”!
My letter to editors at Financial Times.
Dear Editors,
Gideon Rachman’s piece (link below. FT 15 June) is a typical case of double standards and self-righteousness in the West.
Does he know that The National Security Law is part of Hong Kong’s mini-constitution, The Basic Law, Article 23?
Every country has its national security law. And Hong Kong, as part of China, must have its own national security law, whether the West like it or not.
In the late 1960s, the U.S. did not like the Communist trend in Vietnam, and so marched in to kill millions of people.
Communist China is a monster regime and so, should the U.K and the U.S. send warships to China? Should we endure another Opium War just because of the west’s self-righteousness?
